syfry - street food poster
For this project I was inspired by a number of things. As there was no set brief I was complete creative control. I came up with my own brief, a science fiction themed street food truck looking for an eye-catching menu board. This was an extension of my dissertation, which was focused on Science Fiction movie posters, partly focusing on posters from Poland, which are often a stark contrast from the flashy posters we are used to seeing today. I took a very hands on approach to this project, and decided I wanted it to be completely handmade, even down to the lettering. After doing some research into current street food truck branding, as well as looking back on my research of Polish Science Fiction film posters, I created a simple lino-printed logo to be used as a foundation for the rest of the project.
